I was transitioning a regular site to WordPress and I had several hundred pdf files I needed to upload and display, organized in six different ways. Using basic WordPress, I could bulk upload, maybe even bulk differentiate (categories?). However, putting them on a page or pages, organized in groups/categories, seemed only possible if I manipulated the files manually, one by one…hundreds of them!
I needed a plugin and I found BSK PDF Pro. The key here is the Pro version allows FTP bulk uploads, that
bulk assign my categories
. Then the plugin has real slick, easy to understand and use, short codes that display the files in any way I could think of.
The plugin’s outstanding functionality is only part of this. I could not figure out how to bulk assign categories to my files. I emailed support, not optimistic I’d hear back quickly. However, BSK support responded almost immediately! They stayed engaged with back and forth emails until they led me to the function I needed. They actually seemed to enjoy helping.
So, great plugin and super support. Can’t ask for more.
